The award winners have been announced
for the Ashland University 2018 Juried Student Art Exhibition that will run
through April 8 in the University’s Coburn Gallery.
This exhibition offers $1,000 in
awards to student artists, including Best in Show, Bernini Award, Dean’s Award,
People’s Choice Award and awards in each of the six art areas: painting,
printmaking, sculpture, digital art, graphic design and drawing. The awards
were announced at the opening reception of the exhibition on March 15, 2018.
The People’s Choice award will be announced on the Coburn Gallery’s Facebook
page on March 26, 2018.
The outside juror for exhibition was Stephanie Craig.
Craig is an Assistant Professor at
Cuyahoga Community College Western Campus, where she teaches ceramics,
3D foundation and sculpture classes and is also the co-director of the campus
art gallery. Craig accepted 52
entries of the 111 art entries submitted.
