Using collective multimedia performances, AU students will interpret the sounds, atmospheres and realities created in literary masterpieces. Lighting, photography, film and art combine to create sensorial experiences of literature intended to bridge the gap imposed by language and cultural difference.
This is a unique opportunity to learn about the history of Latin America and its quest for cultural identity and freedom through a contemporary interpretation of literature and art.
The event begins at 7:00 p.m. (Thursday, November 14, 2013 in the Trustees Room (upper convo). It is one of a variety of events in the university's current Symposium Against Indifference: "Engaging Latin American and the Caribbean."
