ASHLAND, Ohio – The award winners have
been announced for the Ashland University 2016 Juried Student Art Exhibition
that will run through April 1 in the University’s Coburn Gallery.
This exhibition offers $1,100 in
awards to student artists, including Best in Show, Bernini Award, Dean’s Award,
People’s Choice Award and awards in each of the five art areas: painting,
printmaking, sculpture, digital art and design, drawing and ceramics. The
awards were announced at the opening reception of the exhibition on March 17,
2016.
The outside juror
for exhibition was Clare Murray Adams was born in Canton
Ohio. She received a BFA from Kent State University and an MFA from
Vermont College. She is a retired Professor of Art and former Chair of
the Visual Art Department at Malone University in Canton, Ohio. She now
lives in rural Southington Ohio where she maintains an active studio
practice.
Clare accepted 68
entries of the 101 art entries submitted.
